About Us

Sandra is the Managing Director of SJ Financial Services. She’s been involved in the finance broking industry since 1991 and has a close association with both the motor dealer network and multiple lender partners. Sandra started her own finance broking business in 2000 after a successful career managing a Sydney-based broker business in Newcastle. She loves starting the day with yoga or a walk on the beach with her family and dog Bella in tow. Sandra is married to Nat Jeffery who worked for NBN television for 28 years. You might remember him as the NBN weatherman and host of Today Extra. He also worked for 2KO doing surf and weather reports, and among other things, was a founder of Newcastle’s iconic Surfest.

As our Business Development Manager, Jen's proven success in business development and relationship management makes her a perfect fit for our team. Jen has worked in the financial sector since age 17, gaining invaluable experience in numerous positions, from Retail, Small Business, Business Banking, Financial Planning and Mortgage solutions. With her passion for banking and finance, Jen has loved helping 1000’s of clients build their personal and business dreams.

A lover of endurance sports and triathlons, Jen most recently represented Australia at the ITU Triathlon Multisport World Championships in Spain. However, her biggest achievements in life are her 2 beautiful and very active children. On the weekends, you’ll find her out and about swimming, riding bikes, hiking and running, in new places to explore.

Terry has a wealth of experience in the Finance Industry, going back to 1979, when he started with the State/Rural Bank. Terry’s been part of the SJ Financial Services family for over 12 years, and brings a high level of expertise, customer service and commitment to his role. Terry is our office “Evel Knievel” due to his love of motorbike riding (he once jumped 8 desks). Needless to say, “Danger” is his middle name. He also owns Hunter’s brother (from another mother) - his name is Al…….Al Sation.

Kristy has worked in the financial sector gaining invaluable experience in numerous positions, from administration to personal lending and senior support. Kristy’s knowledge of the industry allows her to serve our clients at the highest level and she’s a great asset to our team. In her spare time, she loves to bake cakes for family and friends. But not just any cakes – these are masterpieces fit for Masterchef! Kristy has two kids who love to get in the kitchen and help her bake…actually, they just like to help lick the bowl.

Roman has extensive experience in both finance and Motor vehicle dealership operations, focusing on wholesale, new and used vehicles operations. Roman assists our dealership clientele in developmental sales training, management training, integration of finance and sales forces, communications skills training and customer centric service, helping to improve profits and efficiencies.

With his exceptional service to both businesses and retail customers seeking solutions to their needs, Roman has his finger on the pulse of an ever-changing market, and creates great results through sound future planning and great customer service.

Sam is our Melbourne Finance Specialist operating out of Just Honk in Laverton North. Sam loves nothing more than to see our clients driving away in their dream car with a great finance package, and that’s what he does best! So, if you’re in Melbourne, or even from another state for that matter, Sam has a wealth of knowledge in motor vehicle finance. James joins our Melbourne branch bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in Asset, Mortgage and Commercial finance. When you meet James, you’ll see he’s full of energy with a passion for helping people. His other passion is family & fast cars! In fact, James loves all things cars! Jesse is SJ Financial Services’ newest and fastest progressing team member. Jesse was born and raised in Aberdeen, but has called the Gold Coast, Sydney, and now Newcastle home. During this time, he has amassed a high proficiency for consultation and service through previous experience in the telecommunications and automotive industries. Jesse has found this to experience to translate exceptionally well into his role of Finance Consultant.

Out of business hours, you could find Jesse at Alpha MMA at Cardiff, where he trains as he has competed multiple times in boxing/Muay Thai; which he says his favourite fighters are Robert Whittaker and John Wayne Parr. Otherwise, you may bump into him trying out one of the many restaurants around the Newcastle area as he is a bit of a foodie, and loves trying out things he has not experienced before.
